Ironically Fancy had its biggest impact on the adult contempory charts where it peaked at #8.The single had legs staying on the hot 100 for four months. It earned Bobbie her third straight ACM nomination for top female vocal and a grammy nomination for pop female vocal. In Canada ,the song went #1 country and #26 pop selling 100,000 copies north of the border. The song was first covered by country singer Lynn Anderson in 1970. To date, it has a dozen covers ranging from Reba McEntire to the rock band Geraldine Fibbers.
