When Tito Puente composed Oye Como Va in 1963 it was considered Latin Jazz. Carlos Santana turned it into Latin Rock when he included the song on his group’s 2nd album Abraxas.

The song was their second single release from the album, the album was number 1 on the album charts in October and November of 1970. the single peaked at Number 13.

This is considered one of Santana’s best.
